  1. Systematically analyze rhythm strips.
  2. Identify sinus, atrial, junctional and ventricular arrhythmias.
  3. Recognize pacing artifact, sense and capture.
  4. Discuss the hemodynamic effects of selected arrhythmias.
  5. Select appropriate interventions for life-threatening arrhythmias.

OBJECTIVE: This program is designed to assist the RN/LVN Graduate in making an effective transition from the role of student to that of competent staff nurse in the hospital setting.

This is an intensive, structured program that includes 40+ hours interactive, didactic instruction and 300-900 (depending on the clinical area) hours mentored clinical preceptorship with specially-trained unit preceptors in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

Course Administrative Information
Accreditation:   Programs offered for BRN Credit are offered under the auspices of Redlands Community Hospital -- approved provider #CEP491
Fees:   RCH Employees -- Free (or as denoted by class)
Refunds:   Deposits for CPR, ACLS, PALS, or NRP classes will be forfeited if the employee is a "no show" to the class without sufficient notification of cancellation.  For all other programs, an administrative fee of 1/2 of the program cost will be retained by the hospital to cover the cost of enrollment and refund. Notification of cancellation must be given at least 7 days prior to the class meeting. No refunds will be made after the first meeting of a series.
Cancellation:   If a class is cancelled by the hospital, a full refund will be given.

Independent Learning Program
Self Study Modules

This is a very user-friendly program where you check out (like books in a library) a study module for a period of up to one week, read and absorb, and complete a post-test.  Return the module and completed test, along with a self-addressed envelope, to the Education Department and a CEU certificate will be mailed to your home.
