Employee of the Month February 2004

Jennifer Haas, Respiratory Therapist, was chosen as the February Employee of the Month.

Supervisors and co-workers were quick to point out her courteous and friendly manner as one of the main reasons she deserved the recognition.

"She will go out of her way to help anyone, from nurses to patients who aren't even under her direct care," wrote Angela Reiner in her nomination. "She is genuinely caring for each of her patients and will spend the extra time to lend an ear to them when they need it."

Her supervisor, Leif Erickson, explained that Jennifer first came to RCH as a student. After she graduated, she began working at another local hospital until she was recruited in 1999 to work for Redlands Community Hospital.

"If anyone deserves this award, Jennifer does," said Leif.

Vice President Harvey Hansen noted that Jennifer recently accepted a position as an NICU Trainer in respiratory therapy. She has also tackled many projects in the department to prepare for the upcoming JCAHO survey.
