Employee of the Month April 2006

Maria Ortiz, housekeeper with Environmental Services, is such a dedicated employee. She is always willing to work on her days off to make sure the work is done.

Because of her constant dedication and sacrifice, she received recognition by being named the Employee of the Month for April.

The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Radiology, and One Day Surgery expressed their gratitude to Maria by submitting numerous nomination forms requesting that she receive this honor.

"Maria does an excellent job keeping our department clean," said Janett Sumlar, LVN. "She is always polite and professional with employees and patients. She does an excellent job."

Others wrote:

"Maria works hard. She looks out for patient safety. She is always courteous and friendly to everyone," said Ping Yang, RN.

"Maria is so helpful to visitors, patients and staff. If anyone deserves recognition, it is her," said Kristy Santos, CNA.
