Hospice Volunteers like to help others.

This hospital volunteer goes out to the patient’s home.

If you are the type of person who finds that comforting someone in their time of need is a rewarding experience, then we invite you to  become a HOSPICE VOLUNTEER.  There are no nursing requirements, simply attend our training program and learn techniques to establish rapport, show empathy and communicate with terminally ill patients.

Hospice Volunteer Debbe Lamb (left) said, "Some people wonder if they could do this kind of volunteer service.  To which I respond, 'I can’t say no to visiting these patients.' Caring for others has benefited me as much as those people I visit.  Some elderly patients have no family members living nearby, so I become their FAMILY.  Patients tell me some humorous life stories, and we become FRIENDS."
